Who We Are

After 6 1/2 years in leadership positions within the national organization HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response, in 2007 Marcy & Richard Lowy, formed a new volunteer non-profit organization, Cascade Canine Crisis Response (CCCR) with the sole purpose of delivering animal-assisted crisis response services within the Pacific Northwest communities. They are joined by experienced, certified teams in Oregon & Washington.  Along with several CCCR teams, they are sworn-in volunteers with Oregon’s Washington County Sheriff’s Office Canine Crisis Response Team.

CCCR teams are:

  • FEMA Basic ICS Trained and certified

  • First Aid/CPR certified

  • Active in and re-certified every 2 years in AAA (Animal Assisted Activities), AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy), and/or AAI (Animal-Assisted Intervention)

  • Trained and certified in Canine-Assisted Crisis Response

  • Covered by liability insurance for trainings and crisis/disaster call-outs

  • Available 24/7 to assist behavioral health and other crisis responders on site, in a wide spectrum of critical incidents situations.
