Our Mission

To provide hope and comfort in times of crisis through the healing benefits of human-animal interactions.

Vision

  • Establish on-going relationships with responders, disaster relief agencies, community support organizations, schools, clergy, military personnel and their families
  • Through these connections, be called upon to provide our services in a timely manner to those impacted by traumatic events

Our Story

After 6 1/2 years in leadership positions within the national organization HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response, in late 2007, Marcy and Richard Lowy formed a new volunteer non-profit organization, Cascade Canine Crisis Response (CCCR). Based in Washington County, Oregon, their sole purpose is delivering canine-assisted crisis response services to Pacific Northwest communities. They are joined by experienced, certified handler-canine teams who are dedicated to bringing canine comfort in a wide spectrum of both critical incident responses and regularly-scheduled commitments.
